This is a popular hike among tourists and locals alike. And for good reason, it is impressive and breathtaking! Our favorite times to hike Delicate Arch are at sunset or during a full moon! Don’t forget a head lamp! Location: Arches National Park.
This is a great place to hike with kids. A two mile out and back hike, you’ll pass through a canyon with several impressive monoliths, such as the Three Gossips. We enjoy hiking this trail early in the morning during the summer months because it is shaded and quiet. Location: Arches National Park.
If you aren't afraid of heights and want to overlook Moab and the Colorado River check out the Portal Trail or its sister trail across the river, The Moab Rim Trail. It is largely shaded during the afternoon in the summertime. Keep your eyes open for bikers headed down from the Mag 7 trails. Location: JayCee campground, Potash Road.
A quick and easy 1.5 mile out and back hike to an arch with some of the most impressive views in Moab! If you hike this right before sunrise, the inside of the arch will glow with a beautiful morning light. Location: Canyonlands National Park.
Fisher Towers is an impressive area with towering sandstone fins located about 45 minutes east of Moab. This is a 5 mile out and back hike, however you can go as far as you’d like and return the same way you came. Fisher Towers has little shade, so plan accordingly. You’ll feel like you stepped into a John Wayne movie set!
